BUTTON DESIGN The decorative beauty of buttons
This exhibition will feature 8,000 buttons from a valuable collection of 15,000 items, including antique buttons from the 19th and 20th centuries, which have been collected over many years by Kiyomi Kato, a dyeing artist and native of Niihama City. This exhibition will also feature beautiful and adorable buttons made from a variety of materials, including glass, shell, metal, ceramics, celluloid, and Bakelite, which were mainly manufactured in Europe, as well as Satsuma ware buttons manufactured in Japan for export overseas.
