Tezuka Osamu Exhibition

Tezuka Osamu, known as the "God of Manga," was active at the forefront of manga from his debut at the age of 17 until his death at the age of 60, creating countless unique characters. His works, which cover a wide range of genres and appeal to people of all ages, are still highly regarded in Japan and around the world, even 35 years after his death. His works are imbued with profound themes and messages about humanity and the origins of life, which the artist continued to question throughout his life, and they shine with universal brilliance even in today's world, where we face a variety of different situations.
This exhibition will introduce the footsteps he took in creating such masterpieces as "Jungle Emperor," "Astro Boy," "Ribbon Knight," "Phoenix," and "Black Jack," as well as look back on his achievements from various perspectives, including the establishment of story manga and his venture into animation.
The exhibition will showcase approximately 300 carefully selected pages from the approximately 150,000 pages of manuscripts he created over his lifetime, along with video footage, documents, and favorite items, and will provide an insight into the message the author has entrusted to the future.
Please enjoy the "Tezuka World" unfolding with its charming characters.
