Cafetalk "Enjoying the Unconditional Classical Japanese with Your School Teacher!"

Part 2: [In every era, people are trembling with longing to meet someone!? Romance in the era of the Manyoshu]

The year is 2024, and a historical drama starring Murasaki Shikibu, the author of The Tale of Genji, is currently being broadcast.
Actually, classical Japanese literature is hot right now!
We will invite a current teacher who is an expert in classical Japanese literature to teach us.
This is a cafe talk series that will take you back to your student days and allow you to enjoy learning about the charms of "classical Japanese."
We invited Professor Nagaharu Mori, a professor of the Department of General Education at Niihama National College of Technology, as our guest.
He will be looking at the oldest collection of Japanese waka poetry, the Manyoshu, which is his specialty. In the second episode, he will be thinking about love, which has always been a major motif in poetry.
In an era when "wife-seeking marriage" was mainstream, what kinds of love affairs did people have, and what kind of "songs" did they express their passionate feelings in? Let's find out with excitement.

*In honor of the Manyoshu, drinks will be paired with Mont Royal's leaf-shaped chocolate "Leaf Memory." Since the cafe will be closed after the event, drinks will be served by event staff. The third event will be held on October 11th. [Travelers in the Manyoshu: Completely different from today!?]
