Special Spring Exhibition “Hiroshima Museum of Art Collection Masterpieces of Modern Japanese Western-style Painting LOCAL-NIPPON”

From the collection of modern Japanese Western-style paintings owned by the Hiroshima Museum of Art,
Including Seiki Kuroda, Chu Asai, Takeji Fujishima, Shigeru Aoki, Ryusei Kishida, Narashige Koide,
Through 80 paintings drawn by 68 Japanese Western-style painters who color the history of modern art,
This exhibition traces the changes in oil painting expression in Japan from the mid-Meiji period to the late Showa period (1880s-1970s).

Date: April 29, 2023 (Sat/holiday) to June 25 (Sun)
Closed: Mondays (but open on May 1st and June 5th), May 2nd (Tue), June 6th (Tue)
